Thoracic Spine Extension over Foam Roll Sit on the floor with your knees bent. Place a foam roll perpendicular to your spine, near the bottom of your shoulder blades. Place your hands behind your neck to support your head. Extend back over the foam roll. Your hips should remain on the floor during extension. Lift your head to return to neutral, and move the foam roll further up your spine, and extend back over the foam roll. Repeat this exercise at your own pace, keeping the foam roll on your mid-upper back.
