Self Treatment of the Ear Canal Very useful for self treatment of 1. headaches / head pain 2. mental fogginess 3. jawpain, tinnitus, vertigo. You will need to have short nails for this! Sitting or lay supine (on your back), maybe lay small pillows under both elbows for support, to relax your hands and arms. With your index fingers, or pinkies press slowly and gently inside of each ear. Wait until the energy of your hands and fingers become the continuation of the energy of your head. Then with both your fingers start gently pressing into the ears, see the image of a whirlpool, sucking the fingers in. As your fingers fall into the depth of your ear canals, they might be gently rotating as they progress in; the tissue of your fingers as a natural continuum of the ear canal tissues. The gentle rotational spirals do not have to be mirroring each other: each ear canal may have its own tune and pace of movement. Each may gently unwind, leading you to change direction randomly. Occasionally you will feel a hardness or mild pain, stop there and wait. Be patient, wait for the sensation of softening, this may take a couple of minutes. The whole process may take up to 5-10 minutes. (There is no limit of time!) In the end, when you intuitively feel complete, save another couple of minutes and now align each of the fingers so that they will be mirroring each other and at the same time they will be pushing into the depth of your ear canal where your fingers are angled toward your forehead.
